Swan View Senior High School encourages students to become involved in Science. Our aim is to encourage them to become lifelong, active and independent learners.
All the Science rooms and the preparation area have recently been completely renovated. We can offer students state of the art rooms and facilities. The new class rooms provide a stimulating learning environment and the access to technology enhances the learning experience.
Swan View SHS offers a range of courses. Stage One, Two and Three Human Biology; Stage Two and Three Chemistry and Stage One Integrated Science. There are a wide range of subjects offered in lower school, with an emphasis on linking the curriculum to real life situations.
Swan View SHS is an Aspire school. This means that we are closely affiliated with the University of Western Australia. The university offers our students many experiences in both lower and upper school including opportunties to attend special on-campus events and seminars. They also offer practical advice and monetary assistance to encourage our students in their aspirations for a tertiary education.
Our students also participate in State and National Science competitions, week long Science week activities including the annual tree planting activity.
