Kids Witness News

The Kids Witness News Program has been in place at Swan View Senior High School since 2009. The partnership, in conjunction with panasonic Australia, gives students the necessary skills to create professional and interesting productions focussing on a number of themes.

In 2009 Rachel Finlayson, Marnie Thompson and Danielle Read were nominated for their short film 'Techno-Freak'. They spent two days in Sydney and ended up winning the best overall video for Western Australia.

In 2010, Jayden Wade (pictured below) accompanied Mr Hatzis to Sydney where they took out Best Overall Western Australian Video for the second year in a row.

The competition has provided the school with $4000 worth of prizes aswell as a HD Camera, Plasma Screen TV, software and work vests.

2011 promises to be an exciting year and the fantastic media students in Year 10 are aiming to win the national award which will mean a trip to Vietnam and then possibly a trip to London in 2012.
