Having evolved from the ancient rituals of primitive cultures, drama has always been a means of expressing our feelings and telling our stories. Drama allows artists to entertain, to comment and criticise society and have a voice. Drama challenges our ideas and views and stimulates our imaginations.
Drama allows us to express ourselves through our bodies and our voices. It teaches us tolerance and helps us to be part of a team. We become confident speakers who are comfortable in un-familiar situations and develop into mature and well-balanced people who can view the world in an open-minded way.
At Swan View, drama students are encouraged to take on all aspects of drama both in-performance and non-performing roles. There are many opportunities for showing their work both to their peers and public audiences.
